Language
English with simultaneous interpretation into French – actors can make their self-tape in their own language

While self-tapes represent a major breakthrough, enabling actors and actresses to audition without the need to travel, they create other pro-blems that can be far from easy to surmount!

This seminar will point out the technical and artistic aspects to consider when creating (and sending!) a self-tape that meets the expectations of casting directors. What is the best way to use and perform them? How can we be at ease with our image? How can we avoid excessively harsh judgements on ourselves?

Participants will create a self-tape to be analysed by Bonnie Adair. In collaboration with a French cas-ting director she will also analyse the CVs and photos. In this friendly work-shop you can learn how to improve on a practice that can often be frustrating!

TEACHERS

Bonnie Adair, trained as an actress and passionate about the creative process, created a workshop that brings together ac-tors and playwrights at the famous Actors Temple in Lon-don. Having worked briefly as an agent, she got an insight into what they and casting directors need and teaches an intensive workshop on the business of casting at The Actors Temple.
