In partnership with the international development programme LIM I Less is more, FOCAL offers a five-day workshop that focuses on the development before entering the writing process.

In this workshop, the participants can test their story ideas for their potential and are given techniques and tools to explore and generate unexpected, driving and meaningful narrative options. The workshop helps the participants get into research mode. It inspires them to play with the possibilities that accompany every idea. The two international script consultants  teach how to use constraints to push creativity further. They invite the participants to tackle their ideas and strengthen them through theory and practical exercises.
The participants will not only work on their own story ideas, but are also involved in the discussions on the other projects.  The tutors will create a safe environment for this inspiring and valuable learning by sharing.

The LIM  methodology has been developed mainly for fiction projects. Authors from documentaries are welcome if they also want to work on fiction.

For further information about LIMs methodology and the LIM Prewriting Workshop, please watch the 2021 LIM online presentation by Antoine le Bos, Artistic Director of LIM I Less is more.
