Surveys on impact 2013 to 2015

In Spring 2016, we conducted an online survey addressing the 83 film professionals involved in the PV13-14-15 editions of Production Value.
The target group comprised 36 Juniors, 15 Seniors as well as 27 Producers and 5 Directors. 71% of them replied to the survey – 59 responses representing more than 20 European countries.
Our purpose was to evaluate once more the impact of Production Value on the following points below.

The professional skills, career and understanding of European conditions by the Juniors.
91% of the Juniors admitted that attending Production Value changed their professional practice, either “partially” or “definitely”.
88% of them are still using the skills acquired during the workshop.
Production Value has “definitely“ or “partially“ changed the career opportunities for 75 % of the Juniors.
100% have broadened their understanding of the different working conditions in Europe.

The professional approach to scheduling and budgeting taken by the Producers & Directors
53% of the Producers admit that Production Value has “definitely” changed their professional approach towards scheduling & budgeting.
By 83%, Producers admit that as an impact of Production Value, they would from now on schedule and budget projects much earlier in the development process.

Post-workshop networking between Juniors, Seniors, Producers & Directors.
50% of the Juniors tell us that they are regularly in touch with other Juniors, and 10% assert that they are still in touch with some of the Seniors.
With respect to the first 2 surveys, there has been an increase of Juniors working with each others, or with Seniors or with Producers met at the workshop.
It is interesting to note that 4 Juniors have been kept informed by the Producer about the Project assigned to them, and that 4 other worked later on with a Producer present at the Workshop.

The use of results and information available on PV website
83% of the participants in the survey regularly check the Production Value website.

The relevance of Production Value with respect to the European Film industry
For 80% of the Producers and Seniors, Production Value is a valuable tool to prepare highly-qualified professionals.
Overall, 94 % of the all participants were “definitely“ satisfied by their Production Value experience and for the same percentage, the basic principles of the Workshop are pertinent with respect to its main objective: Developing an Effective Scheduling & Budgeting Culture in Europe?
With respect to recommending the Workshop to other colleagues, 100% of the Directors and 100% of the Producers answered positively.
The above results are exactly the same as in the 2 previous surveys.
