Surveys on impact 2016 to 2018

In Spring 2019, we conducted an online survey addressing the 79 film professionals involved in the 2016, 2017 and 2018 editions of Production Value. The target group comprised 36 juniors, 11 seniors as well as 25 producers and 7 directors. 86% of them replied to the survey – 68 responses representing more than 20 European countries.
For the 4th time now, our purpose was to evaluate the impact of Production Value on the following points below.

The professional skills, career and understanding of European conditions of the juniors.
91% of the juniors stated that attending Production Value changed their professional practice, either “partially” or “definitely”.
80% of them are still using the skills acquired during the workshop.
Production Value has “definitely“ or “partially“ changed the career opportunities for 50 % of the juniors.
90% have broadened their understanding of the different working conditions in Europe.

The state of projects brought to the three editions
Of the 18 projects admitted to the 2016-2017-2018 editions of Production Value, only one has been shot so far : HALVDAN VIKING by Gustave Aekerbloem (Sweden – 2018). It participated in PV17 in Italy.
This rather low result is also the consequence of the fact that the projects brought to Production Value are always very complex and expensive and therefore not easy to finance.

For further information on the 10 films shot subsequently to a participation in any edition of Production Value, read the section The films that got made.
