Working Conditions in Argentina
Permits
There are no special working permits in Argentina. The location permits need to be requested at least 3 days prior shooting. The request has to be made of a person or company, which is citizen and who is insured in Argentina.
Working Hours
All weekly cost reports need to be sent to S.I.C.A. (Sindicato de la Industira Cinematográfica Argentina www.sicacine.com.ar). The regular hours per week are 44hours. At least 45 minutes for Crew members.
For actors, working day should have 8 hours and 45 minutes, starting from 06.00am with limitation until 09.00pm. Night shifts should have 7 hours and 10 minutes. 1 hour for break for Lunch or Dinner and 15 minutes for Breakfast and Snacks.
Overtime
To calculate the overtime, use the following calculation:
(Weekly salary / 44) x 1.5 = 1 hour extra.

Rates
Please refer to the attached PDF of Salary rates from the 1st of April 2007.
Allowances
No per diem or rules found, only duration of breaks:
- For breakfast: from 07.00am — 08.00am
- For lunch: from 12.00pm — 01.00pm
- Snacks from: 05.00pm — 06.00pm
- Dinner between: 09.00 — 10.00pm
