The (non-for-profit) fields of education and culture are marked by the age of digital media, which implies new challenges and practices in terms of production, distribution and communication. This represents an opportunity to reach a wider audience for creative documentary filmmakers, to create social impact and to provide additional revenues for producers and distributors. Schools, universities, and civil society groups can become important partners. But what are those target groups looking for? Which artistic forms, production processes and business models can be developped when it comes to reaching a predominantly young audience? How can you reach different audiences with specific campaigns? How to work with social networks?
