PRODUCTION VALUE 2010 — The fourth edition of the European Scheduling and Budgeting workshop took place in Retz (Austria) from 9 to 16 January. It gathered 30 professionals coming from 13 European countries.

Out of the 52 applications coming from Juniors of 17 countries, 12 young professionals from 9 countries had been selected:

For this edition, the following Seniors led the scheduling and budgeting process of 6 film projects in development and financing:

• Daniela Forn Mayor, Senior Assistant Director, Spain — new! (“Vicky Cristina Barcelona” — “The Machinist”)
• Stuart Renfrew, Senior Assistant Director, UK — returning from 2008 & 2009! (All the last Stephen Frears’ films — “Bridget Jones’ Diary”)
• Michael Schwarz, Senior Line Producer, Germany — returning from 2008! (“Oliver Twist” — “Far away so close!”)
• Marco Valerio Pugini, Senior Line Producer, Italy — returning from 2009! (“The Miracle of St.Anna” — TV series “Rome”)
• Kaare Storemyr, Senior Line Producer, Norway — returning from 2009! (“Aberdeen” — “I am Dina”)
• Frank Schlegel, VFX Supervisor, Germany – new ! (“Speed Racer”).

6 European production companies brought their film project to the workshop. The Directors and Producers of each project joined Retz in the last 2 days to discuss the results of the Juniors and the Seniors:
