Pitch
Animators study the connections between thinking, emotion and physical action.
In this two-day workshop, animators study the connections between thinking, emotion and physical action. Through lecture, analysis of clips from animated and live-action films (MODERN TIMES, MULTIPLICITY, A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE) and simple improvisations, Hooks walks the class from the roots of acting 7000 years ago all the way up to the present. The class studies scene construction, storytelling, character analysis, acting principles and more. Today's sophisticated audiences have become accustomed to a high level of performance animation. ‹Acting for Animators› gets directly to the heart of the matter.
