Helen Jacey's renowned Writing the Heroine's Story Seminar is scheduled to take place in Zurich. Female characters have never appeared in such a wide range of film and television roles as today; this inspirational and practical seminar will show you how to develop and create powerful heroines for the screen.

Helen Jacey, a screenwriter and coach, will share with you some of the storytelling secrets of creating female characters we love, hate, and those we love to hate!

At this seminar, Helen will share her unique creative principles to help you:

  • explore the writer's conscious and unconscious motivations behind the kinds of female characters he/she creates;
  • create a compelling female character with a strong identity and an unforgettable story to tell
  • learn what makes the hero's journey different from the heroine's (or else the same);
  • know how to «spot and swot» female stereotypes;
  • explore how genres and platforms affect female characterization;
  • plan creative strategies for writing your heroine's story;
  • explore ways in which gender issues can affect the development process;

This seminar is most profitable for participants with projects of their own.
