How do stories find an audience in a shifting media world? How do new media influence the documentary film?
Journalist Hansi Voigt straddles the divide between the analogue and digital worlds, tries storytelling using a range of vectors and has now ventured to make his first long cross media documentary film. In gülsha und noëmi he enquires into how we will satisfy our basic needs (clothing, nutrition, mobility) now and in the future. He wants to use new media to publish the project across media even while it is still in development. How do new media influence the shape of the film? How can we use the cinema, social and analogue channels to open up constructive debates on tricky issues? The seminar offers insights into the development process behind this ambitious project and opens it up to critical questioning.
