Production Value

Now going for its 3rd edition, Production Value is a 7-day residential workshop simulating the scheduling and budgeting for 6 existing film projects and ultimately delivering professional budgets and shooting schedules. Working in teams of two, Junior Line Producers and Junior Assistant-Directors from all over Europe are assigned real projects in development, brought to the workshop by Directors and Producers. The teams are coached by top-level European Line Producers and 1st Assistant-Directors. Everybody - Juniors and Seniors alike - is assigned a project from another country than their own. Directors and Producers play an important part in the process: they provide the main parameters of the projects and join the workshop at the end to discuss the various concepts, options and results.

The workshop is completed with plenums dedicated to general topics related to line producing and assistantdirecting, as well as case studies by the Seniors. Production Value is a unique training model within the European industry.

Fee

€ 1'000.-, including food and lodging.
Two participants from one of the twelve new EU member states (Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia) or from Croatia are eligible for a full scholarship covering expenses for travel and subsistence, provided that such a participant has not already benefited from another scholarship for the same expenses.
