Interdisciplinary seminar: designing and editing a trailer.
Film editors, producers and directors will have the opportunity to broach, and put into practice, all questions arising during the various stages of elaborating a trailer: how to define the target audience and the market position of a film in relation to competition; how to highlight a film's assets in order to draw audiences.
Small interdisciplinary groups - each observing their own function - will then create a trailer based on a finished film (feature or documentary) by determining the stylistic means to be used according to respective audiences and film specificities. The equipment provided in the workshop will allow for image editing, complete with simple visual effects and a soundtrack model (comment and music).
