Pygmalion Plus is a specialist programme for writers to develop feature film, TV drama, animation and interactive media projects for child or family audiences. With a cross-disciplinary approach, writers develop their project over 6 months, through collaboration with experienced mentors who are an international team of distinguished writers, directors and interactive producers. Applications from script editors or producers, wishing to develop their skills in project development as team support participants, are also invited.

Lab 1
A 9-day residential lab involving in-depth analysis and evaluation of each participant's project with writer mentors and the additional resources of animator, storyboarder, artist programmer or composer, according to the needs of each project; workshops with resident actors and a director develop work through improvisation and readings; screenings and invited guest speakers.

Lab 2
A 6-day residential lab in Amsterdam, running alongside the Cinekid Festival. As well as revue and re-writing of work done between the labs to finalise project treatments, participants are also able to consult with invited European producers on further development and production opportunities, and have access to Cinekid Festival activities and contacts.

Internet support from mentors is provided after both first and second labs.
