Over the past few years, virtual production has taken the global film industry by storm. Boosted by an A-list of feature films and television series, VP seems to be the hot topic. Yet much of what virtual production is remains a mystery outside of the confined walls of A-list LED studios or VFX houses, inaccessible for most of the industry.
As part of the Geneva Digital Market, the Geneva International Film Festival (GIFF) and FOCAL are offering a one-day event that includes a masterclass, a Q&A session and a panel of renowned experts on this subject. This virtual production masterclass will demystify the topic for independent directors, creatives, DOP's, postproduction managers, and specialist from studio or tech department alike. The four-stage workshop will follow the process from preproduction, production, and post-production stages focusing on concepts, tools and workflows (including game engines).
