No good demo, no casting call;no casting call, no booking - it's a familiar dilemma to any actor. How do you capture the authenticity and the buzz that makes a showreel truly stand out? In our opinion, you need a well crafted monologue: different facets of a character reduced to a few moments on film.

There will be a preparatory session in Zurich followed by a workshop in London where the actors will develop their personal interpretation using classic method acting and movement psychology (Yat work) exercises. This work will be deepened further using the Meisner technique and Movement. Finally, the monologues will be filmed. The aim is to produce images that show the performers as honestly and palpably as possible. After the seminar, the unedited film material will be made available to them.

NB: In London, participants will have the opportunity to meet an internationally active casting director.
