Just one year ago, the Geneva International Film Festival (GIFF) officially joined the European Alliance for Television and Culture (EATC) and took over the hosting of the European Script Award, a prize previously awarded in Berlin and Helsinki. The opportunity to highlight the serial writing and European creativity.

This is yet another prize in the GIFF's "series" list of awards, which for 25 years has paid tribute to the creative power of television series. The reception of this award, dedicated exclusively to European production, reinforces this commitment. Its reception is in addition to the various European initiatives in the field of series, cinema and digital, to which the GIFF contributes throughout the year (Europa Film Festivals, Eurofest XR, etc.).

Who can submit a series?
The European Script Award is open to all television stations, broadcasters and production companies based in Europe. Eligible are TV series produced and written by emerging scriptwriters (first, second or third script).

Deadline for submission: August 31
